Seaweed Salad : Aims to help Grieving Children
Seaweed Salad, in corporation with Highmark, worked on a transformative game to help kids through the grieving process. Losing somone hurts, but it does not have to be the end of the story. Sharing stories about happy days and continuing to pursue one's dream help to keep the memories of loved ones alive.
We built a virtual world with the expressive power of a journal through which children and teens can explore, express themselves, and find their inner strength. In doing som we hope that we can help them to not only remember, but to cherish those memories as they moved into the bright futures ahead of them.
We made an application where children and teens can express themselves through drawing on the lanterns and letting it into the sky. They can also store a memory in form of a text/photo and customize their own crystal/flower/mushrooms and place in the environment. They have an option to share these content with one another. They can also see the other lanterns let it to the sky in a shared space.
We called our final Product as Connections.
